Pennyweight Creek (GULLY), NSW Details
Description
A gully rising approx. 2.5 km south south west of Newman TS and approx 2 km south south west of El Capitaine TS thence flowing approx. 1 km generally north easterly into the Molonglo River storage dam at Captains Flat.
Origin
The gully was locally named Pennyweight Creek because miners panned for gold there. (Source: Captains Flat Community Assoc. - Elizabeth Estbergs).
