History

Named after Mr Leopold Fane De Salis (1816-1898). Arrived in Sydney on 18 November 1840. Introduced irrigation and pioneered the use of dams. Became insolvent in 1898 with debts of over 100000 pounds.

A minor trigonometrical station situated on E slopes of Clear Range about 10.4km north north west of Michelago
