Named after Mark Fairles Morton MLA. Parliamentarian and pioneer conservationist. Establish Bundanoon Primitive Area 1938 Morton family very prominent in local history. Henry Gordon Morton managed Berry Estate Coolangatta Three sons entered Parliament. Mark junior prominent community member and solicitor.
