History
Council at its meeting on 14 Mar 2000 adopted the resolution of its Historical Resources Committee when it was resolved the the reserve be named `Oyster Cove Reserve`.
Description
A reserve in of the end of Harace St Waverton. It runs along the northern boundary of HMAS Waterhen Naval Base to Wollstonecraft Bay.
Origin
This was the site of The Old Sugar Works which was bought out and closed by CSR in 1859. The building was used by other industries until the The North Shore Gas Co began producing gas on the site in theearly 1900s.
