Island Flat Gully (GULLY), NSW Details
History
The name was proposed by Amos Douglass in response to the Mangrove Mountain Bicentennial Naming Project. (Douglass A naming proposal form dated 16 June 1997)
Description
A gully which runs from an area 4.5 km ESE of Mount McLeod and 3.8 km WSW of Mangrove Mountain Post Office. It is 2.3 km in length and runs in a south-westerly direction.
Origin
The area at the lower end of this watercourse was known as Island Flat Paddock by the pioneers because there was an island there. (Douglass A born 1896 of Wyong Nursing Home naming proposal form dated 16 June 1997)
