A rural place between the Rous and Tweed Rivers about 4 km NE of Murwillumbah. Also assigned as an address locality.
Meaning
Derived from Bundjulung daygil for silky oak. Also: from Aboriginal word meaning white cedar which grew in the subtropical rainforests of the area which is mostly low-lying plain. (Richmond Tweed Regional Library. 1984).
