Water course rising just N of Cana Trig Station. Flows NW for about 4.8km towards the Mooki River when its course becomes indefinite.

The gully rising near a bald or treeless hill.
Origin
Origin not traced but the name is long standing. It is possible that the hill at the source of the gully was once known as Bald Hill. There is a homestead Bald Ridge nearby at STMR Werris Creek 512-331.
