Description
A reserve approx. 1.82 hectares in area located at the western end of Ivanhoe Park. Comprising Lot 2502 DP 752038 and part Lot 7007 DP 1074764 bounded on the north by Raglan Street on the south by Sydney Road on the west by Park Avenue and on the east by Ivanhoe Park in the suburb of Manly.
Origin
The origin of the name Ivanhoe Park is uncertain. First referred to in 1871. It is thought that the founder of Manly Henry Gilbert Smith may have named it Ivanhoe Park in reference to the novel Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott. Source: Champion S & G. Warringah and Pittwater 1850-1880 p 169
