In 1984 it was reported that the name Marys Rock was commonly locally used although that name had apparently not been found on any published map.

Rock in the Coral Sea about .5 km east of Cook Island.

Origin

Probably named after S Guy who was a 2nd Master Royal Navy who assisted in the 1864-65 survey of the area. (Chart BA1028)
