Township on the Blue Mountains Rangewithin the City of Blue Mountains about 2.5 km E of Katoomba.

Lava. Aboriginal. (Reed 1985)

Origin

Was originally to be named Lurline after the daughter of the subdivider of the area but when the railway station opened in 1891 it was called Leura. (Australian Place Names Kennedy 1992).
