Description
A point on port Jackson about 2 km W by N of Mrs Macquaries Point.
Origin
In a map prepared by surveyor Mehan in 1807 the name Cockle Bay Point was used and later changed to Jack-The-Millers Point after John Leighton who operated three mills. The point was known as Coodgee by the aboriginals. Maritime Services Board Port of Sydney Vol. 9 No. 3 Sept 1965.
