A town on Tooloom Creek about 11 km NNE of Urbenville.
Meaning
For: a lagoon. (Anthropological Society of Australasia). Also: may be derived from Bundjalung noyamboon for platypus or from Nguthunbung the name for an Aboriginal ancestral being. Neither origin has been linguistically confirmed. (Appleton; 1992).
