Coles Hill (HILL), NSW Details
Description
This hill is situated behind a bend in the road with a spur running down to Upper Mangrove Creek. It is situated between Joe Ladds Gully and Dubbo Gully.
Origin
Named in honour of Jimmy Cole one of the original settlers in Upper Mangrove. He used to walk to Wisemans Ferry every Sunday and return with the mail for the people who lived there at the time. (Kieth Paull as part of the Mangrove Mountain Bicentenial Project).
