Description
A sealed walkway on the south western side of Clyde River between North Street and Beach Road Batemans Bay.
Meaning
The place of the fish.
Origin
Years ago Ngunda (the warrior man) roamed this coastline and riverbanks of the south coast. Gulgla (the father of the Wind) told him of a river where food especially fish were plenteous. Fish and shellfish were an attraction and a delicacy for the people. This place murramurramia became a favourite camping and hunting site for Kooris.
