Originally proposed as Remembrance Park but approved by the Board on the 14 October 1999 as Lidcombe Remembrance Park.
Description
A reserve on the corner of Joseph and James Streets Lidcombe. It occupies Lot 7021 of DP 93913 and incorporates a War Memorial small childrens play area and gardens.
Origin
Lidcombe sub-branch of the Returned Services League of Aust sought and gained council approval to erect 4 obelisks adjacent to the existing war memorial and to have the name changed to Remembrance Park so as to be more historically relevant and more readily understood.
