History
This reserve was known to locals as `Salters Road Reserve`. Salters Road was a closed road to the north of the reserve.
Description
A reserve at Bossley Park on the northern side of Prairie Vale Road. It is in the south-eastern section of the block between the closed roadMarconi Road and Sweethaven Road. The reserve will occupy parts of lots 1 and 2 of DP 545050.
Origin
Named after Club Marconi which is situated opposite the reserve on Marconi Road. The club is an Italian sporting and social club. It has been involved in many community projects such as the Fairfield City-Marconi Spastic Centre and will contribute to the development of the reserve. (Fairfield Council letter 27 July 1998)
