Comes from Bendemeer a river which flows near the ruins of Chilminar in Persia. Mr Thomas Perry the founder of Bendemeer Station was a descendent of Captain Perry (Deputy Surveyor General. NSW to TL Mitchell) was a friend of Sir Thomas Moore the author of Lalla Rookh in which appears the following lines-Theres a bower of roses
