Named after Arthur Paul Heinz Werner (HENRY) who died on 30/9/83 Mr. Henry Werner was a fellow of the Institution of Surveyors and a Lecturer in the Department of Surveying at the University of N.S.W.. The trig station is located within the area used for survey field training by the Universitys students.
