Description
A watercourse about 175 km long. It rises about 7 km NNE of Shannon Vale and flows generally WNW then NNW into the Macintyre River.
Origin
Beleived to have been named by Oswald Bloxsome first squatter occupant of Rangers Valley in the land district of Glen Innes after the Severn River in the west of England. (Atchison 1976).
