History
Now absorbed by Dharawal State Recreation Area and Dharawal Nature Reserve which were both assigned on 16 May 1997.
Description
A reserve of about 5650 ha proclaimed by National Parks and Wildlife Gov Gaz 45 folios 1660-61 on 4 April 1996. It is located on the Bulli and Appin topographical maps. For further information contact the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
Origin
The name is a variation of the spelling of the name of the Turawal the Aboriginal tribe of this area (F D McCarthy New South Wales Aboriginal Names and Euphonious Words with their Meanings 1963).
