Description
A non perennial watercourse rising east of Cana trigonometrical station. It flows east south and then west through Cana Gap. About 800m west of Cana homestead its course becomes indefinite in the plain country east of Werris Creek.
Meaning
The name may be taken from Cana of Galilee (Johnii et al.)
Origin
The name of the gap would naturally have attached to the gully and probably very early;it was current early this century.
