History
Name is said to have been bestowed by the district surveyor A.C. Betts on 2 February 1881 when Betts S.G. Adams and his daughter and Jas. M. Betts ascended the summit. (Andrews 1991 p 172)

A saddle about 1 km WNW of Charlotte Pass (locality) and 1500 metres N of Mount Stillwell.

CHARLOTTES PASS -Named after Miss Charlotte Adams the daughter of the Surveyor General whom it is claimed was the first woman to climb to Mount Kosciusko. (Snowy Saga by Ziegler p 24)
