Description
A reserve at Concord bounded on the north by Brays Bay McIlwaine Park and Mary Street East on the west by Concord Road on the south-east by Rhodes Park and Brays Bay and on the east by Brays Bay. It occupies Lot 1 of DP 583588 and Lot 51 of DP 771682. This is the former Philips factory site.
Origin
This name commemorates the Bray family. John Bray (.......... - ... ...1797) of the New South Wales Corps was granted land in this area in 1794. The first and third mayors of Concord Alfred Llewellyn Bray and Henry Bray were two of his descendants. (Coupe S 1983 Concord A Centenary History). The reserve occupies part of the land grant.
