History
Name suggested by Mr Richard Korber and Mr Harold Kemp. At its meeting on 25 June 1996 Council resolved to give this name to the reserve.
Description
A reserve of 1307 square metres occupying Lot 2 of DP 701572. It is situated at the northern end of Hothersal Street on the eastern side of the road. It adjoins the southern bank of Spring Creek at Kiama.
Origin
Charmian Clift (30. 08.1923 - 08.07.1969) was born at Kiama and went to local schools. However she attributed her education to her parents love of books and to the wild beach and little valley that bounded her home. Her novel Walk to the Paradise Gardens reflects the landscape. She grew up in the house by the lagoon at the end of Hothersal Street.
