History

Name suggested by Mr Warwick Lewis of the Orchard Avenue Reserve Park Committee. This reserve was previously referred to as the Orchard Avenue Reserve.

Description

A reserve located near the corner of Orchard and Bellotti avenues extending north to Rudyard Street Winston Hills. It occupies Lot 22 of DP 223698 and lot 774 of DP 234541.

Origin

John Francis Berger (17.06.1951 - ...10.1993) was chairman and treasurer of the Orchard Avenue Reserve Park Committee. Community minded he was an active member of the Lions Club instrumental in organising roadworks and road signs and keen on maintaining the reserve. (Parramatta Council letter date 5 September 1997)
