Group of hills lying ten km to north of town of Werris Creek.
Meaning
Thought to be a place name brought in from abroad. Note. Dunover House near Ballywater County Down Ireland.
Origin
The name appears on the 1902 edition of the county map. As the State Map shows a holding or property name DUNOVER a little to the north of the mountains so named old run records and gazetteers were searched without result. Local enquiry should quickly supply the missing information. The area was originally part of Breeze station (Clift).
