Description

A lookout at Redhead overlooking Redhead Beach and Nine Mile Beach and over the Tasman Sea. The viewing platform is accessed via a treated timber walkway from Steel Street Redhead or off a walkway that runs from Cain Street to Webb Park.

Named after George Stanton (yob 1909 dod 18.8.1977). School teacher 1930-1974. Served nine years on Lake Macquarie Council from 1952. Member of Rathmines and Maitland Historical Societies. Member of East and West Lakes Progress Associations. Believed in the preservation of natural beauty spots. (Source: Don Paterson).
