History

Description
Suburb of the Cities of Liverpool and Penrith and Fairfield located between Horsley Park and Mount Vernon and about 6km SW of Prospect Reservoir. Boundaries within City of Liverpool shown on file 713 and map GNB3573. Boundaries within City of Fairfield shown on map GNB 3550
Origin
The area was originally divided into three land grants. The smallest belonged to John Driver and was called Macquarie farm. The other two were large and were given to Barron Field who named his property Hinchinbrook and to John Wylde whose property name was Cecil Hills which was the origin of the suburbs name.
