History
Name submitted by the Olympic Co-ordination Authority as part of the preparation of the grounds for the staging of the Olympic Games in 2000.
Description
A reserve at Homebush Bay bounded on the north by Murray Rose Avenue on the east by the Olympic Park Railway Station on the south by Dawn Fraser Avenue and on the west by Showground Road.
Origin
The name reflects the location of the reserve - immediately in front of the Olympic Park Railway Station. (Olympic Co-ordination Authority letter dated 24 February 1998)
