History
Alexander Berry (1781-1873) was the first settler in the disrtict in 1822. Originally Broughton Creek the name was changed to Berry in 1888. (Place Names of NSW Reed 1969).

A town near S coast of N.S.W. on Broughton Mill Creek and 18 km NE of Nowra.
