Description
A railway station on the City Bankstown Lidcombe Line. It is about 1.5 SE by S of Yagoona Railway Station and about 2km WNW of Punchbowl Railway Station.

BANKSTOWN Opened 14/4/1909 The construction name was Chapel Road. Named after Sir Joseph Banks (1743-1820). Botanist with Captain James Cook Governor Hunter selected a site for a town there in 1798 and named it Banks Town.
