A trig station in Engadine about 2 km N of Heathcote. TS6039-2
Origin
A cairn of stones on the Main Road at Engadine. This trig established as a second class station in May 1881by Charles Sheridan a piling officer with the Dept of Lands. Originally named Bottle Mountain for its location on a hill 2.5 km N of Bottle Forest. The name Bottle appears on survey plans dating back to the early 1880s.
