Origin
NULKABA - gazetted in 1885 as the Village of Pokolbin. Its name was officially changed to Nulkaba in 1927 when confusion with the vineyards area also known as Pokolbin had reached its peak. (Historical Tours in Greater Cessnock) 994.4/123
