H W Knight Park (RESERVE), NSW Details
Description
A reserve located on the corner of Warran Road and Lonus Road at Whitebridge. It occupies part of Lot 3 of DP 755233. This was formerly the site of the Whitebridge Community Hall which was removed in 1996 and replaced by a childrens playground.
Origin
Harold Wesley Knight (05.06.1925 - ..........) served on the committee of management for the Whitebridge Community Hall from the time that it was opened in 1967 to its closure in 1995. He lived opposite the hall and was voluntary caretaker undertaking the work of maintenance and bookings. (Lake Macquarie Council letter 26 Nov 1997)
