Description

A locality between The Broadwater and Richmond River and about 5km SW of Wardell. Boundaries within the Ballina Council area shown on map GNB3731.

Origin

Named after the Bagot brothers who founded the Bagot Sawmills in that area. The mill was destroyed by fire and they re-built in Ballina. (Rich.Twd Reg. Lib. & R. Hist. Soc. 1983).
