History
The Whitton Stock Route was a main artery for Cob & Co coaches travellinf between Melbourne and Queensland in the late 19th Century. (Plan of management Cocoparra NP).
Description
A non-perennial stream rising in the Cocoparra Range about 900 m west of Mount Elliott. It flows in a generally southerly direction for about 5 km until it becomes indefinite about 350 m short of Mitchell Road.
Origin
A staging post houses dance hall race track and vegetable gardens were located on the creek where it crosses the Whitton Stock Route.
