Description
A creek approx. 2.5 km long rising 3.5 km NE of Bowles Hill and 5 km SW of Piper Gulf and flowing in a generally northerly direction into the Macquarie River in the locality of Freemantle.
Origin
Named after Vincent Murnane (b 1875) an early settler to took up a Conditional Purchase on Lots 65 and 66 and a Conditional Lease on Lot 75 Parish of Freemantle in circa 1884. He built a hut and lived on the bank of the creek on Lot 66. (Source: Jim Buchan Milkers Flat Parish Map Freemantle 1884)
