Description

A non perennial tributary of Coxs Creek rising near Bundella trigonometrical station and flowing north westerly for about 48 km to its junction with that creek 5 km W of the town of Tambar Springs.

Meaning

Bundella - Meeting of Waters. (Thomas. Dubbo Science of Man vol 4 page 27) Local agreement with this was noticed.

Origin

The name was current in squatting days. In 1848 James Hale claimed lease for Bundalla 20000 ac. (G.G. 1848 p. 1236) In 1849 Henry Bayly claimed lease for Bundulla 32000 ac. to the west of James Hales claim but apparently overlapping Hales claim and very difficult to exclude from N.S. Lawsons Premer. *
