A Locality within the City of Lismore and bounded by the Wilsons River to the west and the localities of East Lismore to the north Wyrallah and Goonellabah to the east and Wyrallah to the south. Boundaries within the Lismore Council area shown on map GNB3628.
Origin
Monaltrie is the historic name for the area and was so named by Lismores founding father William Wilson. The name derives from the place name of Monaltrie in Scotland a place with which Lismores pioneer family of William Wilson was associated.
