Coulton Walk (TRACK), NSW Details
Description
The walkway running along the top of the Pindari Dam Wall. The dam is located on the Severn River about 17 km ESE of Ashford.
Origin
Keith Alfred Coulton MBE b 21-6-1929. In 1956 he was the first to use bore water for irrigation in northern NSW. He planted the first cotton in the MacIntyre Valley in 1977. A driving force behind the formation of various water user associations he is the Chairman NSW Border Rivers Council and had a pivotal role in enlarging Pindari Dam.
