A town about 2km N of Woonona and about 2 km S of Thirroul.

Meaning

Also: Bulla - two mountains. (ASA; 1899). Also: place where Christmas bush grows white grubs or two (Mts Kembla & Keira). (McCarthy; 1963). A Darawal Aboriginal term from buula of unknown meaning. (Ap- pleton; 1992).

BULLI - first recorded in Sydney Gazette April 22 1815 - appears as Boyle again in February 4 1824 it was recorded as Bull-Eye. Aboriginal meaning is Two Mountains. P21 (Information from Black Diamonds - William A. Bayley)
