A lake about 4 km NNE of the locality of Emerald Beach.

Origin

Named after George Hearne an early settler who obtained land in the Woolgoolga area in the early 1880s. Hearne conducted a boarding house situated on a knoll overlooking Hearnes Lake south of Woolgoolga. Hearne was said to be Woolgoolgas first publican.
