Description
A non perennial stream rising about 400m east of the intersection of James Rd and Evans Lookout Rd Blackheath and flowing generally north east and over the Griffith Taylor Wall to its confluence with Govetts Creek in the Govett Gorge.
Origin
Named after William Hayward reputed to be first white person to reach floor of Govett Canyon in 1847 (Refs: Journal R.A.H.S. Vol. XXV. Fol. 543. Part 5 1939. and Town & Country Journal Jan. 15. 1876. Fol. 100).
