Cookbundoon Sports Fields (RESERVE), NSW Details
History
Informally known as Hockey Park for many years although that sport is no longer played there. Reserve Trust asked the GNB to assign the name Endeavour Park for the reserve but the Board did not approve it.
Description
A reserve off Rex Street Kenmore comprising Portion 146 and Allotment 64.
Origin
The Cookbundoon Ranges dominate the landscape to the north east. Surveyor-General Thomas Mitchell recorded the Cookbundoon range in his fieldbook on 28 May 1828.
