At Councils request this park was assigned the name Kerry Park on the 30-Sep-1988. Renaming proposal was also submitted by Council.
Description
Reserve No 31 being Lot 322 DP 25318. It is situated between Iona Street and Monash Road Blacktown.
Origin
Deborah Lee Wicks (15-07-1968 05-05-1987). D Wicks joined the Blacktown West Netball Club when she was 8 years old. She learnt to play umpire & coach netball in this park. Deborah represented the Blacktown City Netball Assoc from the age of 11 until she was 17. D Wicks died from bone cancer in 1987 at the age of eighteen.
