Stubbs Gully (GULLY), NSW Details
History
Name proposed by M Hobday through the Mangrove Mountain Districts Community Group. Supported by the Darkinjung Aboriginal Council Gosford Council Forests and NP&WS.
Description
A gully 2.5 km in length which begins at a point 4.4 km NW of Moat Trigonometrical Station and 1.7 km SE of the Ironbark Road bridge over Ironbark Creek. The gully runs in a south-westerly direction into Ironbark Creek.
Origin
The Stubbs family were the first people to clear and farm the land on the banks of this gully. They are now deceased.
