Description

A town situated on the Mehi River about 2 km SSW of Yarraman and about 16 km S by E of Ashley. Boundaries within the Moree Plains Council area shown on map GNB3784.

Said to be Aboriginal term for spring or waterhole. (not verified Are hot artesion bores there. (Appleton; 1992). Also: spring or waterhole or a stone. (McCarthy; 1963).
