Description
A reserve in Glenmore Park bounded by Glenmore Parkway Davison Avenue Morrison Street Bulu Drive and Glenmore Park High School. It occupies Lot 1 DP833308 and Lot 1410 DP865950.
Origin
Named in honour of visually impaired paralympian the late Ched Towns. A keen water skier bushwalker mountain-bike rider and champion cyclist triathlete and ironman. Competed in 1988 Seoul Paralympics in javelin. Was selected to carry the Sydney Olympic torch but died on a mountaineering trip to the Himalayas in January 2000 aged 48 years.
