History
This station was erected in January 1903 by Piling Overseer James Healy an employee of the Department of Lands.
Description
A Trig Station erected in 1903 consisting of a stone cairn approx 2m high. It is situated approx 6km SSW of Gumble approx 9km NW of Manildra and about 3 km NW of Eagle Rock Hill. TS3060
Origin
Name was taken from the nearby village and railway station it is believed the name was originally a property name in the area the name Meranburn School dates back as far as 1880.
