Target Lake (LAKE), NSW Details
Description
A lake 5.6 km SSE of Olive Gap and 8.5 km SW of Snapper Rock. It is in the restricted area of an RAAF bombing range and also within the Bundjalung National Park.
Origin
The lake is approximately 0.5 km from the target site for the RAAF bombing range. (Kirkland D naming proposal form dated 15 July 1997) Over the last fifty years the area has been used by the Air Force for bombing rocketry and gunnery. (Kurchinsky A Squadron Leader RAAF Air Weapons Range Evans Head letter dated 25 September 1997)
